The Petition

WE, the undersigned, support the Petition launched by Plan India on 26th October 2009, the aim of which is to universally declare and condemn violence against children. Violence against children as a whole like corporal punishment, sexual abuse, neglect, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, bullying, peer to peer violence, youth gangs, use of weapons and harassment on the journey to and from school as different forms of violence as well as all type of organized offense against child dignity and child rights should be banned from our human civilization.

  261. Koumasse TRAORE,

Children are the basic foundation and most important for a nation's development. If children are not given an environment conducive to their growth, then all the development that the world is making is of no news. And this child-friendly environment can only be created when there is no violence in school, and all children have the access to universal safe education. Thus, I whole heartedly support this campaign.

we must stop this violence against school childrens
  1281. Kartik Sawhney,
A school is a place where the character of a person develops. It is meant to be a place where one can acquire holistic education? But, the scenario: quite the contrary. School is now thought of more as a place of physical and psychological abuse by the teachers and the peer group too in the form of bullying. As research by Plan India reveals 2 out of 3 students are victims of the violence. It is now the high time when all, yes all of us need to unite and fight this tooth and nail.
  1282. Blesson,
  1283. xxxxxxxx,
